The Houston cosmetic surgery facility operated by Dr. Philip Straka was recently recognized by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). The AAAASF is a program of inspection and certification to certify the quality of surgical facilities and standards of patient safety and care. He says that the recent certification marks its commitment to provide quality procedures and ensure the highest possible level of safety for patients.
To be accredited by the AAAASF, surgical facilities must meet certain requirements of excellence in patient safety and quality of care. Carried out by doctors, podiatrists, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons who operate under a Board inspections check the quality of the environment in general, operating and recovery room policy and procedures, general safety, blood and drugs medical records, anesthesia staff, and many other types of care.
